Christian studied chemistry at the University of Münster and obtained his PhD in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ryan Gilmour focussing on the development of (asymmetric) organocatalytic fluorination reactions. After a postdoctoral stay in the group of Prof. Dr. Rebecca Melen he worked as research scientist in the pharmaceutical and recycling industries.
