Mika studied chemistry at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum and obtained her PhD in 2024 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Wolfram Sander. Her PhD topic focused on the isolation and characterization of novel (hetero-)arylcarbenes using the matrix isolation technique.
